Bodhi studied under Stacey for several years and is accepting new students for 1:1 virtual lessons. He also has limited openings for in-home lessons in Herndon, VA!
Hello! I’m Bodhi. I am a sophomore in college at George Mason University studying film. I also have a huge passion for music. I have been playing the violin since I was in fourth grade and the guitar since eighth grade. I want to share my passion for music with others and inspire kids to love music. Whether they pick up and continue to play the violin, an instrument I almost instantly fell in love with, or develop their classical guitar skills, I’m excited to encourage your young musician and help them meet their goals.
I played baseball before I entered college. For five years, I taught training camps with kids from 8 to 12 years old. This teaching experience taught me some important things about working with kids. I always focus on the things they are doing right and give encouragement through positive feedback. In addition to private instruction, I also lead workshops and group classes for beginning strings students in extra-curricular clubs and after-school activities.
I’m looking forward to meeting your student and sharing my love of strings with your young musicians.

Brett Kretzer
Teaching Kid & Adult Musicians everywhere online!
Brett is a talented performing mandolin player and guitarist. He is accepting new students for 1:1 virtual lessons. He is great with beginners or those who want to try a different genre. He can support advancing and intermediate musicians as they work toward their goals.
Hello! I’m Brett. I have been a professional musician for over 11 years. My primary focus is on mandolin and Bluegrass and Americana genres. I have played music my whole life. When I graduated high school, I decided to get a BA in Audio Production with additional studies in music history and music theory at The Art Institute of TN-Nashville. After graduating, I worked in the field as an audio engineer for a couple years before realizing my true passion: to create and perform acoustic music.
Bluegrass and Old Time quickly became my favorite genres to play because of the accessibility and joy of playing with others – minimal equipment needed (although I still loves all genres of music). Over the past decade, I have toured up and down the east coast multiple times and have played over 1000 shows. In that time I gained a ton of musical wisdom from mentors, fellow musicians, and the experience of playing on the road.
My teaching style is dedicated to helping students gain musical freedom in playing both solo and with others. I focus on by-ear methods while using tablature for reference and first time exposure to new songs. Students will learn to recognize musical themes on the fly and have the confidence to play without the need of sheet music or any other reference. In addition, they’ll become proficient in music theory and chart reading. My primary instrument is the mandolin, but I am an experienced guitarist and love to teach guitar as well.

“We LOVE Stacey. She is responsive, flexible, easy to work with. But best of all, my son LOVES her. She keeps him engaged and moving forward, with just the right amount of nudge, in a gentle and super fun way. She’s wonderful! We are so lucky to have found her. “
“Great teacher! My daughter had a lot of fun and the teacher was easily able to teach to multiple instruments. We will be back as soon as our schedule permits it!”
